I just finished the last limit break for FFXI and boy am I happy. I got extremely lucky because I only have a Paladin and a White Mage at level 95. Those two jobs aren't really effective in this BCNM fight unless you are decently geared. Our setup for "Beyond Infinity" was PLD, BLM, BLM, BLM, SMN, and SMN. We had two Olde rarab tails so we went with burn party strategy.
We buffed up before we entered. After we entered one of the mages buffed the group with Phanlanx from Diabolos. I ran in and tried to Provoke Atori-Tutori. This is the part where I failed like a noob. Lol. I forgot to change my subjob to Warrior from White Mage. There was nothing I could really do so I just flashed him and pulled him back to the center. I got to about 50% health and then I used Invincible.
This was the signal for all the mages to go apeshit on him. Before my 2 hour wore we used 1 tail to debuff him. The tail makes him run around randomly and removes the damage cap he has. So the mages went to town on him. The first tail wore and Atori-Tutori was at 50% health. We used our second tail and finished him off just as the second tail wore. I thanked everyone and went to get my level 95 cap removed. I'm one happy Taru.
